CasualFrame is a simple framework for small application, it is also a sample program demonstrate how to use this framework and how to document powerbuilder program with CasualWriter.
CasualFrame is written for the purposes:
1. for small application which is not suitable to use large framework like PFC.
2. MDI interface include framebar and sheetbar like the interface of powerbuilder itself.CasualFrame provides the following features:
1. Simple architecture cater both object oriented programming style or non-oo programming style.
2. Basic application service, includes error handling, toolbar, last window menu, etc...
3. Basic report service, include preview report and standard report layout
4. Basic transaction service include connecting and checking status
5. Some useful functionsBy the way, please note that CasualFrame is not a completely OO class foundation, but a casual application frame which provide basic support for programming and a casual foundation to expand your application.
On the other hand, CasualFrame is a sample program demonstrate the document style recommended by CasualWriter, you can get a good document using the entry reports provided by CasualWriter. (Recommend using Details Report and User Defined Report 3).
It is FREE to use or modify CasualFrame and its components for your development. But if these components are used in a business, commercial or government environment, you are required to purchase licensed version of CasualWriter.
